The 400 Blows

During the movie there is a shot on Antoine's mother and her lover. The visual style is deep focus. It only has viewers see her as the main focus while the background is unfocused.They only want your attention on her. It shows us that its a significant thing we need to see and know in the movie. 

 

Camera Angle: Low

In the movie Batman, they do a low angle shot looking up. It suggests many feelings or thoughts on the image of Batman. Whether its the feeling of power and strength, they both lead to the image of being a hero. It could also suggest the feeling of protection with the low angle. He is not meant to tower over in a negative way but more of a secure and safe position.

Camera Movement : Tracking

In the movie Hidalgo there is the final race scene at the end. Where three of the last horses race to the finish line. They use "tracking" to portray the race and speed of the horses. My guess is that they have the camera attached to a moving vehicle. You can tell because the camera shots are only taken from the right side of the horses so I would assume they have a moving vehicle on that side to catch the scene.  It certainly puts you on edge!

Who am I?

Hey everyone! My names Tori. I'm a business management major that will be graduating this semester! Yay! I'm really looking forward to this class for two reasons. One I love movies and second I love to travel. So this class will help me enjoy both. I really don't pick favorites when it comes to movies because then I'd have too many.
